Since I started climbing in 2023, my love for the sport has only grown. In that time, I've climbed in almost every gym in Denver (there are more than you might expect) and at a growing number of
crags in Colorado and Wyoming. Climbing's been an amazing way to stay active, practice mindfulness, and make friends - if you haven't tried it yet, I can't recommend it enough. Below are some photos I've
taken of people climbing, scrambling, or of the climbing areas that inspire me. I've also added a list of climbs that I think are fun below; if you're ever in the areas described, I recommend checking them out!
If you're interested in hiring me as a photographer for action sports (climbing, biking, etc.), see my Contact page - I hope to hear from you about your exciting shoots!
Favorite Routes
Here are some of my favorite routes, in no particular order (the names of the climbs are links to the Mountain Project page):
North Table Mountain, Golden, CO
Big Dihedral, 5.8
A fantastic route to trad lead or to top rope (solo), starts with hand jams and turns into a dihedral climb, then ends pumpy to the anchor
Spike, 5.10b
Not an unbelievable route, but the brief climbing on the slab is outstanding
Canal Zone, Clear Creek, Golden, CO
Panama Red, 5.10a
A fun route with great holds, and a challenging finish (plus it has nostalgia points, first outdoor route I ever climbed)
Gondolier Arete, 5.10a
I love arete climbs, and this one has a fun almost-traverse to start it
Catslab, Clear Creek, Golden, CO
MacCavity, 5.9+
It's slabby to the point where you worry you won't make the right traverse around the overhang, but it works and it's amazing!
Crystal Cat, 5.9+
On the left side of the same overhang, only this side feels more secure (without losing any of the fun!)
Flatirons, Boulder, CO
Freeway, Second Flatiron, 5.0
An absolute classic, rumble up the "correct" route or explore to your heart's content. Bring your climbing shoes the first time though, it makes the first run more enjoyable
East Ridge, The Spy, 5.3-5.4
No gear placements so leave the rack at home! Such a great scramble, there's no need to routefind, instead you can focus on the movement and enjoy the experience - it's even more fun if you link Freeway -> First Flatironette -> This Route
